- This programme was announced in Union budget 2025-26 by Nirmala Sitaraman.
- The programme will cover 100 districts with low productivity , low crop acreage and below average credit norms through convergence of existing schemes and specific interventions.
- It aims to enhance agricultural productivity , adopt crop diversification and sustainable agricultural practices , increase produce storage at Panchayat and Block levels , improve irrigation facilities and facilitate availability of long and short term credit. The programme is expected to help 1.7 crore farmers.
